I couldn’t be more pleased to be back as President of this most incredible league, especially as we enter our 35th Season! I’d like to take a brief moment, as we kick off this season, to share a personal message. Thank you all, sincerely, for your love and support last season as Jennifer and I dealt with our youngest son Finn’s health complications. As you all know, after a Fall of health issues and challenges, Finn underwent open heart surgery on November 20, 2014 to correct a life threatening abnormality. This is a very happy story, as Finn’s surgery was performed by one of the best surgeons in the world (the same surgeon who performed magic on Finn’s Uncle MS) and Finn is a perfectly healthy almost-14-month-old, who will [finger crossed] never need another heart surgery. I write this to you because I was unable to see you all at the Pig Dinner, and it is important to share because I am exceptionally grateful. So, again, thank you.

Glad I raised the question about how second place is determined. A lot of inconlusive answers, AND WE CAN GIVE UP BEING SAD ABOUT US LOSERS BEING LOSERS. :)

What does "@" mean in the messages?

@KS & JD - Actually there is no play off for second place. What KS was referring to was the second step of the 1st place tie procedure. According to the manual, "Members tied for any other money position will split the winnings equally for that position and will not enter into any playoff".

@JD...well I'll be dipped. In reviewing the membership Manual there is a second place playoff procedure. Pick the Super Bowl winner and if there is a difference in picks the successful picker takes home (virtually, it never leaves HQ) the coveted Commemorative Pen and Pencil Set and all that goes along with being the first-place loser.

@JD A very good point. Perhaps you could submit that idea for consideration at the Winter Meetings. Good luck with that.

Let me forward the request....Wow, the TBIR came back with a nano-second response and let me share what they said. "Dear Mr. Chairman, your request for data seems a bit unusual since it is you, our Chairman who holds all those amazing championship records". TBIR went on to say "and don't forgot that you are the all time winnings leader when combining your record number of second-place finishes". As always KS, thanks for your interest, and I see you are fighting for your championship this year so good luck and good pickings.

SS Since research is down for a bit perhaps the boys won't be able to take this on, but who is the only player to win 3 championships in a row, have 4 championships in 5 years, 5 championships in 6 years and an astounding 6 championships in 8 years?
